| The College Dropout is the debut album by rapper and producer Kanye West, released February 10, 2004. The album was recorded over a period of four years, beginning in 1999.[2] As of 2009[update], it is West's longest album, West's second album, Late Registration also had 21 tracks, but the last track on the album was hidden. It was nominated for the Album of the Year Grammy Award, and won Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song for "Jesus Walks" in 2005. It was voted as the best album of the year by Rolling Stone magazine and in The Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics poll, was ranked #1 in Spin magazine's "40 Best Albums of the Year", and received a near-perfect 4.5 mic rating from The Source. Comedian Chris Rock has attested to listening to The College Dropout while writing his material.[3] In 2005, Pitchfork Media named it #50 in their best albums of 2000–2004. In 2006, the album was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 best albums of all time.[4] Entertainment Weekly listed the album as the 4th best album of the past 25 years. The album has sold 3 million copies. |

| Late Registration is the second studio album by Chicago hip hop artist Kanye West. The album was released on August 30, 2005, and entered the charts at #1, selling over 860,000 copies in its first week, the highest first week sales in the Def Jam label history, until West broke his own record with his follow-up album Graduation (2007), which sold in excess of 950,000 in its first week. Late Registration won several awards, including the Grammy Award for "Best Rap Album". Rolling Stone magazine named it the year's best album by far, and gave it a five-star rating, one of very few hip hop albums to receive this in its initial Rolling Stone review. The album spawned the number 1 single "Gold Digger", featuring Jamie Foxx, and the award winning singles "Diamonds From Sierra Leone", with Jay-Z, and "Touch the Sky" with Lupe Fiasco. It was re-released in a "deluxe edition" both digitally and in CD form in the UK, US, and Australia. The US Deluxe version includes a remix for the single "Diamonds From Sierra Leone", which earned considerable commercial success. |

| 808s & Heartbreak is the fourth studio album by American hip hop artist Kanye West, released November 24, 2008 on Roc-A-Fella Records. Recording sessions for the album took place from September to October 2008 in Hawaii, and production was primarily handled by West, No I.D., Jeff Bhasker and Mr Hudson. The album features guest contributions from hip hop artists including Kid Cudi, Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne.
